cottage cheese and fruit

Caprese salad is one of my favorites, but on a regular bases it can interfere with my wellness goals as the delicious mozzarella ball can add quite a few calories. Cottage cheese is not only lower fat (and therefore fewer calories) but it is higher in protein.

Cottage cheese pairs well with tomatoes , or peaches.

1 cup 2% milkfat lowfat cottage cheese

1 peach, sliced

Drizzle on half tbsp balsamic vinaigrette and half tbsp olive oil. Add fresh basil.

C 24.3 g F 12.4 g P 21.4 g - 316 calories

I still make sure to enjoy a traditional caprese salad from time to time.
